Tessie MUSALIA

Founder & Managing Director

Driven by passion and armed with her entrepreneurial skills Tessie Musalia went into philanthropy.

In time she felt the more effective way to achieve greater and have a further reach through sustained impact through social development and to reach more individuals and families was to structure support through an organization that would address the urgent needs of the most vulnerable. This led to the birth of The Ruban Rose Foundation. She is also a Founder member and Managing Trustee of the Mudavadi Memorial Foundation Trust Fund (MMFTF) www.mudavadimemorialfoundation.org

Tessie is the recipient of the Global Peace Diplomat Award from the Women of Peace International Forum.

Sheela JHUTHI

Board Member

A highly qualified and professional registered nurse specializing in cardio and ICU management. Sheela has over 25 years of experience in nursing having held senior nursing positions within well recognized national hospitals and multinational organizations.

Sheela has extensive healthcare experience in training, counseling and public education for staff within the working environment on various health challenges such as Heart Conditions, Cancer and HIV/AIDS.

Sheela is also founding board member of the Ruban Rose Foundation.

Catherine SOLOMON

Board Member

Catherine holds an Msc Degree from USA in Communication for Development and has over 30 years seasoned experience in behaviour change communication and training development programs in areas such as HIV/Aids, AIDS orphans, Children with disabilities, Malaria, Child Feeding & Care, Slum Upgrading, Income Generation, Water & Environmental Sanitation issues, Adolescence Sexuality and Youth Life skills. She has worked and consulted with various UN agencies (UNHCR, UNICEF, and UN-Habitat) and other national and international NGOs including but not limited to AMREF, Goal International, and Home Economics Association for Africa (HEAA); and has been a lecturer at the University of Nairobi; She is a member of the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) and served as a member of the Rotary International.

Shanna Fernandez

Board Member

With her vast experience in the field of administration having worked in key admin areas in various organisations Shanna brings on broad a spectrum of administrative skills acquired over the years from her sojourn in the private sector. Her expertise in Office and Personnel. Management leaves room for the advisory committee members to focus on the implementation of the Foundations Strategic Framework plan.
